(but #1 isn’t. maybe take a look at what they’re doing if you’re playing in the education game) It’s owned by a local Seattle company based in Fremont. I don’t think I would necessarily want to be playing in those serps, it’s pretty clear you’re at some disadvantage if you’re a .com. But like Sean Astin, it just takes a little persistance and you too can be humming that Rudy theme in your head the rest of the day.

  1. So the Rudy tie-in is like Wadsworth Whitepages, I’m guessing?

  2. Hi Tiffany! You did see that link was all it took right ;) I do like the ultra-non-competitive phrases, it’s just that sometimes they’re ultra-non-competitive for good reasons.

  3. ultra-non-competitive!?! I thought I was making us millions!

  4. Acutally, I just found the Rudy tie-in confusing. Then again, I’m not a boy. Maybe it makes more sense to you people.

  5. sorry, it probably is a stretch. In that type of search I wouldn’t want to be the “little” .com site taking on the “big” .edu sites unless I was really really determined…like Rudy.

As a rule I need to remember to steer clear of sports analogies, they’re almost always agonizing.
